Osteria Centro Storico. Serralunga.

A pearl of Italian hospitality can be found inthe historical city center of the small village, Serralunga d’Alba.

The Vinoteca Centro Storico is a culinary sanctuary for wine connoisseurs and gourmands. Here, the small guest room is bulging with excellent wines and delicious specialties from the region. You’ll find prosciutto, culatello and all different kinds of salamis hanging from the ceiling.

Alessio, the host and cook, is a friendly, rather large man. A real Falstaff character. An authentic cook, whose passion for his deeds is proudly displayed in his impressive figure. And a gifted wine connoisseur – if there ever was one.

The selection of Barolo & Co. is highly unusual, but there are also other great tastes to be found on his wine menu as well. Apropos menu. The culinary menu is written on a classic chalk board.

The traditional cold dishes: Carne Crudo and Vitello Tonnato. Both great first courses. Another fantastic starter: Baccala e crema di aspargi.
Whoever is still hungry, the Tortino di Nociola is amazing.

All in all, a commendable little gem – individual, personal and lead with a high level of passion and authenticity.
